Adam Cohen focuses his practice on a broad range of affordable housing and community development matters.
While a student at Maine Law School, Adam worked as a Summer Associate for Klein Hornig. During this time Adam gained experience drafting opinions, conducting title and survey review, and negotiating loan agreements and attended various trainings related to Low Income Housing Tax Credits and New Market Tax Credits. He also held positions with the City of Portland Office of the Corporation Counsel and Avesta Housing Development Corporation. In these roles, Adam engaged in legal and policy research, legislative drafting, and the structuring of complex real estate transactions. Prior to attending law school, Adam held positions at Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
