What I love about this work is the opportunity to help build enduring, prosperous communities across the country. This work is about more than creating affordable places to call home; it is about unlocking the potential of places rich with history, culture, and opportunities for families, seniors and individuals.

Dedicated to strengthening communities through access to affordable housing, Justin Edwards represents for-profit and nonprofit developers on a wide range of affordable housing and community development matters across the country.

Before joining Klein Hornig, Justin was a Summer Associate, where he worked closely with KH attorneys drafting HUD Use Agreements for complex Section 202 conversions, researching Maryland condominium law to address thorny client challenges, preparing easements, drafting commercial subleases for tax credit property commercial spaces, and drafting nonprofit formation documents.

Justin developed an early interest in affordable housing and community development, which he pursued through his numerous internships prior to and during law school. Justin has held positions at Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future, the Center for Law and Social Policy, the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, and was the Howard University Congressional Fellow for the Office of U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris.

Originally from Southwest Louisiana, where you always “Laissez les bons temps rouler” – “let the good times roll” – I spend most of my time outside of work with friends and family cooking new recipes, exploring the community, playing board games, watching the latest action and comedy movies, and reading a mix of fiction and history.
