Housing is a fundamental necessity. I have worked directly with people experiencing homelessness and have seen how access to affordable housing can change lives. Our work creates housing opportunities for people who may not otherwise have it and I find it very inspiring and meaningful to be a part of that mission.
Kimberly Curtis represents developers in both new construction and acquisition and rehab Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions with complex financing structures. Many of Kim’s transactions involve U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs including vouchers and Section 202 capital advances.
Having seen the affordable housing issue from the nonprofit, for-profit, and government perspectives, Kim draws on her broad and diverse knowledge base and in-depth understanding of the concerns and priorities of the different parties participating in transactions. This multifaceted vantage point enables her to help smooth paths toward successful resolutions.
Kim finds it highly rewarding to develop strong partnerships with clients that endure over many transactions or complex, multi-phased projects. She’s also gratified to work closely with investors, banks, and local, state, and federal agencies to facilitate cooperation among all parties to get deals across the finish line.
