The catalyst of my desire to pursue Real Estate law, particularly affordable housing, and community development, stems from a young age: every other weekend throughout my adolescence my family and I would drive to a suburb across town and walk-through model houses envisioning our lives there. After years of hard work my family was able to move into one of those model houses and turned it into a home. This exemplified the importance of housing affordability and how crucial a home is to everyday life. This experience shapes my interest in this field and my desire to work at Klein Hornig.
Working closely with Klein Hornig attorneys, Imani Roberson assists national for-profit and nonprofit developers, investors, and syndicators on a wide range of affordable housing and community development matters.
Prior to joining Klein Hornig, Imani developed strong research and writing skills as a legal intern with Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and create affordable housing. In this role, and in her role as a Summer Associate at Klein Hornig, she gained significant exposure to the rules and laws needed to preserve and expand the affordability of housing nationally.
Clients have described Imani as diligent, patient, and attentive. Through her calm and composed approach, she prioritizes open communication with her clients every step of the way.
