Power Forward, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, empower, and innovate solutions to solve the disease of addiction.
Klein Hornig assisted Power Forward through their incorporation and tax exemption determination and currently serves as their nonprofit corporate counsel.
Power Forward was formed by former NHL player, Kevin Stevens, and his sister, Kelli Wilson, to provide education, empowerment, and innovation in the battle against addition. They created mainstream outreach programs like Sober Living Scholarships and an Anti-Stigma Initiative to provide high-risk communities with impactful drug prevention messages and offer resources for families and individuals currently affected by the disease. Through innovation, they are developing groundbreaking programs and research in the field of recovery like the D.O.E.R. Project (dog ownership enhancing recovery).
Klein Hornig has continued to be involved in fundraising strategies and mergers with existing programs.
