On Thursday, July 28th lawyers and staff from the Klein Hornig Boston office participated in a service day at the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) – the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and one of the largest in the country. KH members spent several hours sorting and labeling various food items in preparation for local distribution.
Last year, GBFB distributed more than 54 million pounds of food, enough to provide healthy meals for over 500,000 people. GBFB obtains food through food industry donations, food drives, and financial contributions.
Last February, KH also participated in GBFB’s Legal Food Frenzy and raised $1,500 which was enough to provide 4,500 meals.
