Teresa Santalucia Presents Cultural Inclusion Training

On Tuesday, May 26th, Klein Hornig Senior Counsel, Teresa Santalucia presented the fourth and final workshop of the Jericho Road Lawrence/YWCA board training. The presentation entitled, “Legal Responsibilities of Nonprofit Boards: 101” focused on providing local “minority” professionals the tools and knowledge they need to pursue leadership positions on nonprofit boards.

The program featured a multi-phase process including an initial screening of local Latino professionals, formal training including four presentations (two led by Teresa), two facilitated dialogues on cultural inclusion led by a diversity consultant, a networking session at a local café which allowed trainees a chance to network with participating nonprofit organizations, and the final step – matching “minority recruits” on Lawrence non-profit Boards of Directors.
