Klein Hornig Attorney Featured on CHAPA Panel

On Wednesday, November 4th, Boston partner Henry Korman participated in the Citizens’ Housing and Planning Associations (“CHAPA”) Breakfast Forum entitled, “What do the Supreme court Ruling on Disparate Impact and HUD’s Final Rule Mean for Fair Housing?”

Henry, along with three other industry leaders, focused on the June 25th U.S. Supreme Court ruling that upheld the recognition of disparate impact claims in housing discrimination cases brought under the Fair Housing Act, and also discussed the recent issuance by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development of new rules directing recipients of federal housing funds to further the goals of the Fair Housing Act. The panel discussed the content of the Supreme Court decision and the new rule and considered the significance of the ruling and the regulation for affordable housing development, preservation and community development activities.
