On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, Chris Hornig moderated a panel on preservation issues at the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers (HAND) Tri-Regional Update.  The panelists were Klein Hornig Partner Judy Crosby and Buwa Binitie (managing principal at Dantes Partners).  The panel engaged with the audience on a variety of complex issues related to structuring and negotiating a joint venture between a nonprofit developer and a for-profit developer formed for the purpose of acquiring and rehabilitating two existing, occupied buildings using a combination of tax credit equity, traditional permanent debt, a HOME loan, and seller financing.
