Klein Hornig hires second-year law students as paid summer law clerks in our two offices located in Washington, DC and Boston and are open to hiring interns during the academic year as well. Our law clerk program is an important long-term recruiting effort, and we are proud of our partners and associates who began their Klein Hornig careers as law clerks.

During their time at Klein Hornig, summer law clerks take on tasks similar to a first-year associate, including drafting documents, reviewing diligence and deal documents, and participating in client calls. Summer law clerks will receive constructive feedback on their work and have the opportunity to learn more about the field of affordable housing and community development through firm trainings. Each law clerk is also assigned a partner and an associate to serve as mentors during their time at the firm and guide their learning and introduction to the field.

Klein Hornig is committed to ensuring diversity in its workplace by hiring, retaining, and promoting individuals with a range of racial, ethnic, social, economic and gender identities. We strive to provide an inclusive, collegial work environment where the unique perspectives and experiences of all individuals are respected and valued. Candidates with diverse identities, backgrounds, experiences, interests and skills are strongly encouraged to apply.

We are interested in applicants with a demonstrated interest in affordable housing and community development, strong academic credentials, and a commitment to social justice. To apply, please send your resume, a transcript, a writing sample and a letter explaining your interest in our work to Recruiting Committee at SummerAssociate@kleinhornig.com
