As the firm enters the fourth quarter, the docket of educational events continues with the 2013 National Conference & Exhibition of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).  The conference, which was held from October 24-26, 2013, in Cleveland, OH, featured a session chaired by our own Chris Hornig entitled "Strategic Approaches to Year 15 of a Tax-Credit Development."  The panel examined issues many Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) face as mixed-finance communities reach the end of the tax credit period – including evaluating physical, financial and other needs of a development, right of first refusal agreements, and refinancing and restructuring options.
